Who we are

Amplivate is a digital marketing agency run by Charlie Robinson, based in West Sussex and working with businesses across the UK. Charlie Robinson is responsible for any personal data collected through this website ("we", "us", "our"). You can contact us about anything in this policy at [email protected].

What we collect

  • Contact form enquiries: your name, email address, business name (if you give it), what you're enquiring about, and your message.
  • Technical data: when you visit, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type, which it uses to deliver and secure the site.

Why we use it

We use your enquiry to reply to you, arrange a strategy call if you ask for one, and put together a quote or plan. We don't use it for marketing mailing lists, and we never sell your data.

Legal basis

Under UK GDPR we rely on legitimate interests to process your enquiry: you've contacted us and asked for a reply. If you go on to become a client, we process your details as needed to carry out our agreement with you.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form enquiries for up to 12 months and then delete them, unless you become a client, in which case they form part of your client records for as long as we work together and as required for tax and accounting purposes.

Who we share it with

We only use trusted services that are needed to run this website:

  • GitHub Pages hosts the website and processes the technical data described above.
  • Web3Forms receives contact form submissions and forwards them to our inbox.

These providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on recognised legal safeguards for international transfers. We don't share your data with anyone else unless the law requires us to.

Cookies and browser storage

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind. It stores two small settings in your own browser: whether you chose light or dark mode, and a temporary marker used for the page transition animation. These stay on your device, are never sent to us, and are only there to make the site work as you'd expect. If we ever add analytics, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop or limit how we use it. You can also object to how we use it. To make a request, email [email protected] and we'll respond within one month.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if anything changes, and the date at the top will show when it was last revised.
